A magical morning

Flying in a hot air Balloon will always be special. Flying in one over Cappadocia is even more special. What a moment it was. Surrounding by incredible nature and hundreds of balloons. All with the same purpose. I got to share the moment with my sister, and it was one of the most special experiences I have had.

A magical morning

However, in order to actually be able to make it into the balloon, quite a few things need to go in order to plan. Probably the most important thing is the wind. On our first try, it seemed the perfect conditions, not a cloud in the sky, and no wind. Or so it seemed. We were picked up from our hotel super early, I dont remember what time, but the stars still appeared in the sky. We were taking to the office, where we had breakfast and coffee with everyone else going with the same company. Once we set off for the take off area, everything seemed to go according to plan. However it didn’t. We were on the ground, waiting, for close to an hour, when we were suddenly told, that it would not be possible to do the tour today, due to wind.

A bit disappointed, we made it back to the office to reschedule, before being taken back to the hotel.
On our second day however, everything went just right. We took off, and the view was simply magical. One thing is seeing this kind of view with the drone, however seeing it yourself, is an amazing experience. Being able to fly like that, was simply incredible. We had beautiful morning light, beautiful surroundings, and overall, just an amazing experience.

A magical morning

Would I do it again? Absolutely. I think what made it so special was the fact that I was able to have the experience with my sister - and in the perfect conditions. It’s not always in life, and travel and especially that things go according to plan. However in this moment it did. Everything went just right, and it was an absolutely magical morning.
