The 6 most beautiful places in the world I have visited

Of all the places I have been lucky enough to experience, there are a few that stand out. A few places are impregnated in my memory because of the beauty of the place. Even though I feel like I have barely scratched the surface. Though I have had incredible experiences in almost every country I have visited, some have left a bigger impression on me than others. To be honest, it has been difficult to narrow the list down to just six countries. There are so many amazing places worth mentioning. I will mention all of them eventually though. However in this post, I will talk about the 6 most beautiful places in the world that I have visited.

China

China just has to be on top of the list. It is probably one of the most diverse countries on the planet. In China you will find mountains, lakes, ancient villages, skyscrapers, fishing communities, forests and so much more. Every region you visit will have something different to offer. If any place in the world, this is a photographers playground. The country is massive, so you are sure to find everything you like somewhere. What I love about China is that you don’t have to travel very far to get off the beaten path. The tourists that do visit China, often visit the same places. There are so many opportunities to create something unique and different. I can’t wait to visit China, and would love to do a huge tour of the country, lasting a few months. Do you research thoroughly and you will find some unique places.

Peru

I have to choose Peru because of the incredible mountain hikes. There are so many amazing hikes, with absolutely magnificent views. The hiking region around Huaraz is said to be one of the most beautiful in the world. Besides from Huaraz there are lots of hikes around the region of Cusco, most notably the Ausangate hike. The Ausangate hike is simply amazing. It takes you between towering mountain peaks, over stunning passes, along alpacas and local villages, and by the end of the trip, you will be marveling at the incredible rainbow mountain for sunrise.

Besides from the mountain scenery, I can’t talk about Peru without mentioning Machu Picchu. For everyone visiting Peru, it is a must visit sight. One of the most special places I have ever experienced myself. Of course, there is also the possibility of experiencing the Amazon rainforest, the beautiful city of Cusco, Lake Titicaca, Huacachina and lots of incredible mountains that are very rarely visited by foreign tourists.

Peru is without a doubt one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

India

I don’t even know where to start with India. Even after my trips there, the country keeps growing on me. This is one of the most special places I have ever been. It’s like a step back in time. India is like organized chaos. Everyone understands the street rules, and everyone seems to thrive with the hectic daily life. For street photography this is one of the best countries in the world to visit. This is where I started doing street photography for the first time, and I absolutely loved it.

Wherever you go in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, there is a photo to click. There are so many interesting scenes, people and buildings. India is a street photographer's dream. Besides from street photography, there are so many beautiful temples.

Up north you have the majestic mountains. In the south you have Kerala, which is known as God's own country. you have tea fields, stunning islands and picture perfect beaches, rural villages and incredible opportunities to photograph wildlife. I will never get tired of India, and though I have been twice, it keeps being on my list of places I want to return to. India certainly is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

South Africa

South Africa holds a special place in my heart. I have visited four times, and spend a combined nine months there. I absolutely love this place. Cape Town is probably one of the most amazing places I have ever been. I often tend to describe it as an entire country in a city. You will experience everything from mountain scenery, stunning white sand beaches, forests and the opportunity of photographing wildlife after a few hours drive. There are stunning viewpoints all over the city, interesting street photography and tons of opportunities for day trips. The helicopter tour over the city is said to be incredible as well. I choose to put South Africa on the list solely because of Cape Town. I haven’t visited much of the rest of the country, but Cape Town alone is enough for me to put the country on the list.

Japan

A country filled with history. Filled with contrast. A country where the future collides with the past. Where skyscrapers lay side by side with ancient temples. Home of the impeccable Mount Fuji. With bamboo forests, shrines and lakes, Japan is a country I will almost recommend photographers to visit. The street photography opportunities here are among the best in the world. Tokyo really comes alive at night. When locals hit up the bars, and have beers in the small alleyways. These are some of the best photos I captured during my time in Tokyo. Besides, the cityscapes here are absolutely incredible and every cityscape photographer’s dream.

Canada

Canada is renowned for its world famous national parks. With Banff, Alberta and Yoho among some of them, it’s no wonder that so many people visit Canada. The country is filled to the brim with incredible landscapes, and it’s difficult to take a bad photo in the stunning national parks. With lakes the bluest color you have ever seen, waterfalls leading up to the mountains as a perfect leading line and the most perfect reflections to create symmetry in your photos, Canada is a country every photographer should visit at least once. Besides from beautiful national parks, Canada is home to some amazing cities. My personal favorite is Vancouver. A city I completely fell in love with, and with an absolutely stunning cityscape.

Here you have it. My list of the 6 most beautiful places in the world that I have visited. As I said, it was almost impossible to only choose 6. I could have mentioned Indonesia, Italy, Vietnam, USA and Ecuador as well. However these 6 were the ones standing out for me.
